Darıca Farabi Training and Research Hospital was first opened as a Health Center and was repaired in 1984 and started to serve as Gebze State Hospital. The foundation of the current building was laid in 1993 and the construction was completed in 2007 and started to serve. With the letter of the Ministry of Health General Directorate of Treatment Services dated 22.10.2008, the name was changed to Darıca Farabi State Hospital.

Our hospital consists of 9 floors and 16 blocks and has an installation area of 10 thousand m2 and a total closed area of 51 thousand m2, a total area of 96 thousand m2 and a parking area of 13 thousand m2. Our hospital also has an equipped conference hall with a capacity of 270 people.

There are 106 polyclinic rooms in our hospital. As of October 2021, our hospital provides polyclinic services with 106 Clinician Specialist Doctors. Our hospital provides service with 400 beds. There are 192 patient rooms, including 43 single, 148 double and 1 4-person rooms. 88.7% of the beds are qualified (with WC and bathroom) and 11.3% are unqualified beds.

Kocaeli Darıca Farabi State Hospital; According to the provisions of the "Decree Law No. 663 on the Organization and Duties of the Ministry of Health and Affiliated Institutions", it was officially approved with the approval of the Ministry No. 1278 dated 08/05/2018 to operate as a Training and Research Hospital and to be authorized for education. Within the framework of the Additional Article 9 of the Basic Law No. 3359 on Health Services and the provisions of the "Regulation on the Procedures and Principles of Cooperation with the Joint Use of the Institutions and Organizations of the Ministry of Health and the Related Units of State Universities" published in the Official Gazette dated 04/03/2020 and numbered 31058, "Joint Use Protocol" was signed between the University of Health Sciences and Darıca Farabi Training and Research Hospital in accordance with the letter dated 23.07.2020 and numbered 121585372 of the General Directorate of Public Hospitals of the Ministry of Health.
