Gaziler Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital, for the defense of our holy homeland and the indivisible integrity of our nation, to carry out the physical, psychological and social rehabilitation of Veterans who were injured or lost their limbs in the line of duty under contemporary conditions; It was established in order to provide lifelong continuous care for those who have a disability and to provide physical therapy services to all our people. This hospital is a gift to the heroic children of our esteemed nation.

Our hospital, which was established under the name of “TAF Rehabilitation and Care Center”, was launched in 1995 by the “Ankara Journalists Association” and “TRT Institution”, “Come on Turkey! With the donations collected as a result of the great interest shown by the Great Turkish Nation to the "ELELE with Mehmetçik" campaign, it achieved its purpose and was built under the coordination of the TSK ELELE Foundation. Its foundation was laid on 09 December 1996, and it was put into service on 21 April 2000 with the participation of the 9th President, Mr. Süleyman Demirel, and state officials.

Gazi Harmony House was built and put into service on September 19, 2004 in order to support the treatment of veterans by staying alone with nature, to contribute to their therapy and rehabilitation process. In order to connect our veterans to social life, to contribute to their physical development and to help them acquire a profession, the Disabled Sports Club, which consists of sports teams from various branches, was established; 19 Eylül Sports Facilities, consisting of amputee football, archery, shooting fields and a facility building, were put into service for our Gazi athletes.

Our hospital has the distinction of being one of the leading rehabilitation centers not only in our country but also in the world, with its new technological devices, scientific treatment methods and rehabilitation services it has used since its establishment. Our hospital; It continues its development with the aim of enabling patients who have become disabled for various reasons to become individuals who can overcome the physical, psychological and social difficulties in their social lives with a sense of confidence. In each department, a special structure was made according to the needs of the patients.

Our hospital, which served as a "TAF Rehabilitation and Care Center" within the Turkish Armed Forces until 2016, was transferred to the Ministry of Health with the Decree-Law dated 31.07.2016 and named "Ankara Veterans Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital". continues to be a reliable, preferred and leading healthcare institution in the provision of healthcare services.

50-Bed Nursing Home, 50-Bed Patient Guesthouse, Gazi Harmony House and 19 Eylul Sports Facilities serve under the Veterans Social Rehabilitation Center of the General Directorate of Management Services of the Ministry of National Defense.
