Prof. Dr. Semiha AKIN

She was born on April 27, 1978 in Haskovo. She completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul. She graduated from Istanbul University Florence Nightingale School of Nursing in 2001. She worked as a nurse at the German Hospital and the American Hospital between 1998-2000.

In 2001, she started to work as a "Research Assistant" at Istanbul University Florence Nightingale School of Nursing, Department of Internal Medicine Nursing. She completed her "Master's" (2003) and "PhD" (2007) education at Istanbul University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Internal Medicine Nursing. She was appointed to the "Assistant Professor" staff in 2007. He received the title of "Associate Professor" in 2013 and the title of "Professor" in 2018.

Between 2007-2018, she worked at Istanbul Bilim University Florence Nightingale Hospital School of Nursing and Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Health Sciences. On March 1, 2018, she was appointed as "Associate Professor" to the Faculty of Health Sciences, Hamidiye Nursing Faculty.

She has publications and papers in international and national refereed journals and works as chapter author in books. She is a member of various professional associations. Main areas of interest; oncology nursing, symptom management, cardiology nursing, management of chronic diseases and neurology nursing.
